I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I started playing with my five page short story ... and turned it into a many part series of 100 page graphic novels.

However I could not of accomplished this project without the many people who helped or offered support in a variety of ways. Friends offered to help me work my booth at my first comi-con, a friend offered to make a few elf costumes.

First off I would like to thank Maria Masterson for offering to be my editor and all that entails. It apparently included running errands with me as we wait for the images to finish getting scanned, and being my sounding board.

Also I would like to thank John Gajdos in helping me with the original inspiration of the relationship between Lark and Orin. Cassandra Vaughn for listening to me ramble on even though she thinks elves are silly. She fought the urge to roll her eyes often. To my parents, who also listen to me ramble and at least waited until we were talking on the phone before rolling their eyes.

And finally my dear husband, Dennis, who also listened to me ramble on and on and supported this project and everything I do. He listened to me before ideas were even fleshed out and asked me hard questions to help me come up with a stronger story. Whenever I was in doubt about a theme or content length, he reminded me that pre-optimization is the root of all evil.
